Unlike Sony or Nintendo, Microsoft has a different set of currency valuation concerns.
That helps the American buyers but not necessarily others in big selling regions.

Wouldn't the yen being high make it better for USA company to sell their goods in Japan?  I know the high yen is killing Sony and Nintendo's profits in the USA/Europe.  So wouldn't it be the opposite for Microsoft?

I was thinking more of Europe when I made that statement - but even there the dollar has gained some ground recently against the Euro (though I  miss the days the Euro was worth USD$0.85 as an American 8*>).

You are right that the high yen value could make it easier to drop the price in Japan -- I just thnk they don't care.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
