Oh, you've misjudged me. I'm one of those casuals who bought their first home console this generation with the Wii (well, I owned a DS, GBA and GBC before, but still). In general, I don't find games too easy; I find them too hard, :P. It wasn't that with SMG, though. I don't know why, but I found it just plain annoying to go through. I've since realized that I'm basically that way with almost all 3D games so it's really not the game's fault so much as it is my inherent dislike for the ability to go up, down, right, left, forward and backward at the same time. Also, I bought the game imagining it to be "the best game ever" from reviews and such, not realizing that it really wasn't for me, so I was even more disappointed, really. I really just prefer games like Pokemon and 2D Mario over Nintendo's more "core", critically acclaimed titles for the most part (well, I liked Brawl, but that's as far as it goes). |
Sorry, didn't mean to misjudge you. I now see you are more into side scrollers and games with simple game play mechanics, but it's sad that you can't enjoy such a beautiful game. Although, I somewhat understand what you're going through. My mom loved to play the 2D Mario games and even games like Castlevania from the NES and SNES. However, when she played Mario 64 , she wasn't able to grasp the controls in 3D space, and never really got into the game.
