I wish I could source the article I read about the rumor of Nintendo having negotiations with Xfire. Maybe if that ever was true that fell through. I can see where you could be unsatisfied with this system, I personally don't think its that bad. Maybe they did it this way to organize your personal list more? If everyone in your house uses the Wii and it was all done through your Wii number, or one central account it would be a somewhat sloppy online experience I think. Everyones friends wouldn't know who was using the system, etc.
