In all honesty, this is the funniest article I've read in my entire life. The fact that anyone would take this seriously makes me lose hope in humanity. No offense to people who thought he was being serious. I take it anyone who actually read the whole thing and didn't scan through, realised that he was joking.
As to whether xbl is better than psn or vice versa, it is debatable. Better at what exactly?
Take me for example. I almost never play online. I think I played a few times lbp and blazblue with no lag. What I do care about is content and prices. I haven't used xbl, so I don't know how it works, but what I do know is that I'm loving all the content I've been getting from psn+. (if it weren't for psn+ I would have never discovered the awesomeness of Magic the gathering). And especially all the amazing sales (£1 for games like pixel junk mosters etc).
So for me Steam is the best (talk about amazing deals) and then psn. For someone else xbl is better because there is no lag in cod or because of the timed exclusives (I don't buy dlc or play games like cod, so I could not care less).
Can't we just put our biases aside and think: just because I feel strongly about something, it doesn't mean that my view represents everyone's or is superior to somebody else's.
There is no winner.
