Well it's almost impossible for anyone living in a country that isn't a failed state to ignore Microsoft.

But Xbox 360, where does one start?
The controller is rubbish I do prefer the PS3 controller, though I haven't really used the 360 controller so I can't really comment too much.
All the best* 360 games are on Microsoft's main console (PC). Given I need a PC for normal daily living why give the 360 any attention?
Most of the best 360 games are now also on PS3. If you have PS3 and PC you have access to 98.134% of the [non-Nintendo first party] games you could ever want. And we all know the PC is the superior unit for all games available on that platform. So given I have the optimum HD gaming combo of PC/PS3 I can comfortably ignore the 360 knwing I'm not missing out on anything.
I'm not really an online multiplayer kind of guy, so while I hear people say XBL is the best for online multiplayer I don't care and it doesn't matter to me. If I did have a 360 it's highly unlikely I'd ever get XBL Gold. So I can safely ignore that allegedly superior element. Also ref PC has all the best 360 games. For any other online entertainmenty stuff I do have a laptop and a PC-in port on my TV and a wireless keyboard and mouse. So I can pretty much hit the ignore button there.

*Fortunately I don't like FPS, so while Halo might make most FPS fans cream their pants (or make them wet if a girl) it doesn't even give me a semi. If I was a big FPS fan I don't think I could really ignore Xbox360. I'm also not a huge racer fan, so Forza doesn't hold any interest either.
