Political parties can't be corrupted. Polititians/members of those parties can. Let's not mix things.

And the church... well, what can be said of an organisation that has a commandment that says "do not kill", but has an army?

But political parties have stolen people's money in cajas de ahorros for their own funding (and housing-related corruption, and other things). This is why some banks don't have money now. And all of us are going to pay that money (taxes, lower salaries, etc), instead of them.

And those politicians that are corrupt are usually protected by their party peers, which sounds really bad.

We're going off-topic here, but as far as I know, only two cajas that later where almost forced to join into 1 suffered from that.

The rest, and I'm talking about the ones here in Cataluña had more freedom and were less politicized. Their problems were mainly brick and mortar ones.
