Triple projectors are too hard to line up perfectly, the edges will still be noticeable.
You need this 4096x2160 projector http://www.trustedreviews.com/sony-vpl-vw1000es_Projector_review :)

I like your style with the Sony projector, but this would still be 16:9 aspect ratio. I would essentially need 3 of these Sony projectors... :)

Otherwise aligning the projectors without help is almost impossible. You need something like Pixelwrap or Warpalizer for edge blending and alignment.

You can always render at 4096x1440 letterbox style or even smaller, or get an anamorphic lens. One advantage of a single screen is workable 3D. I imagine those edges are even worse in 3D. It's nice to dream until you see the price tag.

Actually 3D would be the downall of this projector as its limited to 1080p 3D 24fps or 720p @ 60fps no matter what high resolutions it can produce. HDMI 1.4 limitation.

However if you get Optoma GT720 X3 you get 3840x800 with full nvidia 3D support due to Dual Link DVI.

I do like the single projector/anamorphic lens idea though. But I see myself trying 3 720p projectors and Pixelwrap software in the near future to blend the edges. 1500 bucks VS 15000. :)
