Let me break this down for you now into parts: EDIT

What is Tearaway?

I already mentioned that was a good game, but c'mon The main guy IOTA? I was not really fond of him. I was not a fan of Kirby's Epic Yarn either. It is not easy to make a mascot, but I just really find difficulty in seeing how they will market IOTA to consumers. Luckily, the rest of the game looks so good, that none of it matters too much, and that is my point. Other titles, after seeing their gameplay, SURELY do not have the same luxury.

Mario is perfect for both consoles and handhelds yet those are not. Double standards

????? Mario games traverse so many genres that doesn't even make sense. 3D Marios aren't the only form the character has appeared in on a handheld. Sports, Karts, Mario vs Donkey Kong, NSMB etc.

Honestly, I see you here trying to turn everything that would be great to most people (Tearaway...corny art style? What the hell does that mean?) into something negative about the Vita when this game doesn't even have anything to do with it. Sony can do no right, there's always something wrong with the games. Whether it be the "corny artstyle", gameplay too similar to console games (however double standard that sounds), new games in existing franchises etc. I'll tell you why you can't find what they do differently about their handheld vs. console games: It's because they don't. Nintendo release the same goddamn games on their handhelds and consoles and yet they get a free pass.

Nintendo does not get a free pass for squat. Their console Animal Crossing was extremely lazy and their entire hardware sales momentum on the Wii side paid dearly for it. Warioware Do-It-Yourself (seriously?) was a wash too.

I would be a hypocrite if I praised Paper Mario 1 yet bashed Tear Away, but their styles are not the same. I liked the sprites in Marvel vs Capcom 2, hated the models in MvC3. I liked the less-serious styles of Jak, Batallion Wars, & Billy Hatcher, but I think Tear Away's IOTA is just weird. I look at it and think of a shredded doll, grotesque even.

Other Sony games I have never really spoken on, so I'm not sure where you are coming from on that.
