Guys, what are you talking about... DQX did great... It's an MMO game, and it started as no other MMO game in the Japanese history. Square Enix is doubled the servers, Wii U version is on the way.

FFXI originally started with just 63K and ended with 120 on PS2, FFXIV shipped only 190K in Japan.
DQX is the king on this field.

And japanese people aren't a big MMO lovers... there's even giants as WoW never launched.

btw, great article 'bout X: http://kotaku.com/5933176/how-dragon-quest-x-could-forever-change-the-gaming-landscape-in-japan

Mario doin' good. I wonder what it's digital sales are. Hope Iwata tell us during next Nintendo Direct broadcast.
And... Obon is in air! Next week going to be huge!

At best, there were 300k active subscriptions in Japan alone for FFXI. How is that possible if there is only 120k sales for FFXI PS2? Well, because even in Japan most FFXI players are PC players. In europe, I suspect that over 95% of the players of FFXI have never ever seen PS2 version of the FFXI or even know it exists.
