I don't care for record company designed genre divisions. It has a verse, chorus, is disconnected phrases about some terrible love life, and goes AAAAaaooooo3333333333333neee in the chorus. Hence it is popular music.

Writing these things takes zero effort. She has vocal talent but everything else is from a conveyor belt of "hits".
