but born this way came out on a friday.. so it only had 3 days to sell.. other wise it would have neared 1 million records in a week.... since it sold more it's 2nd week.. after selling 448k in 3 days..

and.. born this way broke itunes, when the song released as a single last february.. so there's no way to figure out how quickly it hit #1... when itunes started working well again.. it had been 3 hours later.. and born this way was #1

Besides, a record is a record. It's lady gagas fault for not releasing it earlier so she could have a full week of sales.

Okay, but you miss the whole point of this debate. Taylor's new song reached #1 much much faster than Lady Gaga's. Gaga took 3 hours to reach #1, Taylor did it in 50 minutes. :) Who's to say she's not going to shatter this other record now. And even so, it wouldn't be her record, because you clearly don't understand the timeframe of sales. It goes on a week basis, she screwed herself by releasing BTW on a Friday. The record is not hers.
