Yeah... Last year on japan (December 17 exactly...) and feb 2012 for western.. Continum Shift was released on July 2011... that's One and Half year isn't it?
And.. Kof was yearly release until KOFXI... SFIV was releasing yearly until last year... and MvC3 in less than a year had two release.. actually the same year were both released...

yes, and they were all the more crappy for it, IMHO. although the last SF4 doesnt really count cause the last update was just that an update, it was DLC, which is the way its SUPPOSED to be. That was the only time Capcom got it right. KOF is the Madden of the fighting world in JAPAN, it was never released yearly outside of its home country except for in the arcades. But they added and change ed things so much with ever iteration that they are the least offensive of the bunch. Im not giving anyone a pass here, but BLazBlue seems to be running the risk of doing the same thing that annoyed SF players in the 90s and now. But unlike Capcom the game simply does not have the popularity of SF series that has been around since the damn late 80s or the Marvel brand that is hugely popular right now, they are running series fatigue IMHO, the sales are showing and that is kind of a damn shame because it is a good series

But the problem is that You don't see that ChronoPhantasma is a NEW game... Yeah it have the same animations in most of the charactaers, but aren't gonna remake all characters just to satisfy some users... there are new features on gameplay, and the Story is Whole New... Backgrounds are WHOLE new too (something that You asked...)... I don't think the whole music score will be new but surethere will be some new additions.. specially in versus (example: Azrael vs Ragna score...)
You say that You haven't followed BB since the first Continum Shift... then.. why don't give a chance to ChronoPhantasma? You seem the type to more about roster and gameply and Story, so you shouldn't complain about missing CSextend stories...

If everything you say is true, then i will give it a try. I just dont like when series go for the yearly release thing, thats not me picking on BlazBlue in general, IMHO the only ones allowed to do that is sports games, and even then that might be a stretch, but i dont play those anyway. And i dont think I complained about the story??
