| Kresnik said: That's VGChartz figures. Official Sony figures have it 1.25m +. Definitely enough for a sequel. What I'd say, however, is that they should be looking at the PS3 downloads for it. If they're high (which they appear to be, it ranks up with FF VII at the minute I think) then that's hope for something new. |
It has been very popular on PSN, in a very short space of time.
I dont see it meeting FF7 levels of digital sales, but maybe somewhere in the region of Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, or maybe even FF8/9.
Legend of Dragoon was unlucky, it came out in the same time frame as FF8. Competiting directly with the console exclusive Final Fantasy brand when it was invincible.
Times have changed, a Legend of Dragoon reboot in my opinion would be an JRPG powerhouse on the Sony console. I just hope they do it. This game was not a masterpeice, but it was close, it was phenominal when it came out. Final Fantasy is not the competition anymore, a reboot would be a revolutionary step for JRPGs once again on the Sony console.
