Six less than on Beijing. China is thirteen medals down, both on the totals and only golds. That's kinda amazing.

Russia up, Great Britain obviously up, Hungary and Korea up. Germany, Japan and France disappointed a bit. 

Yeah, I thought Japan was doing good at first an then they kinda went kapput.

Japan won 12 medals more in 2012 than in 2008.

It's all about the gold and they are down on that count.
