Vita is doomed in certain perspectives. Doomed in the sense it will never truly compete with the 3DS. This does not mean the Vita cannot be successful, which it will likely be.

PS3 "losing money", yes, I haven't looked at the numbers in awhile but the PS3 has yet to still break even on it's investment. PS3 lost so much money in the first few years, that it is still playing catch up, even though it is the best selling console atm. He also mentions and makes note that Sony is playing catch up in the online and motion control aspect over the PS3's span, saying how it took PS3 awhile just to catch up and barely compete with XBOX live, and playing catch up with the MOVE, you can see how he has a good point. It's certain they are not the leaders anymore, but the followers, let's see if the PS4 can change that again.

He makes a lot good points though, but many of them ignore facts. PSP is pretty successful, I'd say hugely successful, the author would have you think it failed, but he is obviously just comparing it to the DS, which doesn't make sense because he's trying to convince us that Sony cannot do portable gaming well, when it has.
