This is good but, I am really not seeing this as a leap over current gen games. If this is all we can expect from next gen consoles, I really hope they continue to support PS3/360, because that is not worth the price of admission.

With the 8 year gap between the 360 and it successor I expect a leap in tech that is larger than any we have ever seen in the console industry. If these rumors of 4GB, and 8 core processors are right, I don't know why we did not see these consoles last christmas.

A console launching next year should have at least 6GB and 12 cores, with 8GB and 16 cores being the sweet spot. It should also have a GPU of near top end specs from this year. If MS and Sony do not step forth, I will be done with the big three. Samsung and apple will send Andriod and iOS device to market that will destroy a cheap half baked next gen console in no time. Plus they will focus on much more open platforms, and much better multi-tasking.

A gpu like that costs $500 this year and it'll still cost $500 next year, so if you honestly want hardware like that in your next console get ready to pay some gwap.

"Oh noes they better not release a console for over $400 I'd be PISSED."
