I don't get why journalists are so fearful of Apple getting into the gaming biz. They're all about casual use: iPhone, iPad, iPod - they're all very simple to use. Hardcore games are by definition NOT easy to use/play! It's H-A-R-D C-O-R-E. they might make a casual console (like the Wii was/is) but they'd rely souly on 3rd party: no core gamer would abandon NinSonySoft for some fruit ninjas or angry birds console. That piece of shit really would be a piece of shit console.

Danne, did you miss the part where they were saying Konami, Capcom and Square were defecting to mobile devices for revenue?

That's not what I would call PoS-level developers.

And I never said they were. I said that angry birds is a piece of shit (even if it's fun to play at times doesn't make it any less shitty) and a console that only has that sort of games wouldn't get games of the quality like Uncharted, Mario Galaxy, God of War, Gears of War and other current gen hits. That console would be stuck with angry birds, the smurfs and what not. Would YOU buy a console for $600 (knowing Apple that's about the right price ;P) just to play some angry birds? Really? No. No, of course not. Casual gamers might, and that's the market share that would grab an Apple console - NOT the fans of Mario and Link. They'd take a huge dump on it.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
