It has significant competition for developer's attention. If you're a smallish developer these days you have the choice of:
- Steam
- IOS
- Android
- 3DS
- Wii U
- Live
- PSN
- Vita
- Windows 8/RT/Phone (this year).
You also have the new iPad mini, new iPhone, new iTouch and on Android you have Nexus, Fire 2 and various phones etc. There is significant demand on developers attention and 2.6M LTD sales aren't enough. What is worse is that even if the Vita does pick up towards the end of this year it'll take at least a year longer for that to translate into more games.
