I think Jin and Kazuya are background characters or assist characters. I thought this game was supposed to have one character per franchise, but it seems they broke that with Evil Cole and these guys (that's if they are playable).

Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi = Tekken
Cole and Evil Cole = Infamous

Ryu is in DoA and Kratos appeared in the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat.

Not sure how this is revelant. I'm aware that they have appeared in other fighting games, I'm talking about multiple characters from a single franchise.

No, the file from the beta it was taken from showed it was Evil Cole.
