Basically, you're only allowed one athelete from each country to compete in each event, rather than the fastest as in every single other sport (so you can have around 5 Americans in the Athletics, but imagine if you had to choose only one, e.g. Bolt and Blake). 

It's a stupid rule, designed to limit GB success. More fool them, we won 7/10 gold, a Silver, a Bronzeand were dsq from a certain silver at least for a pointless reason.

get over it those type of rules have effected other countries over the years as well  ,its not the first time .
