Wow, some great games mentioned already! Up until I turned a mac-guy about 2 years ago, I always had a PC, though the last few years my old box was severely underpowered for modern games. But then again, I've always been a nostalgic guy.

1. Star Control 2, apart from the graphics there's very little you could do to make this game any better, it's just nearly perfect!

2. Civilization, need I tell you why?

3. Monkey Island 1 & 2, I never got into the later installments and their new style.

4. Space Quest, all of them. I actually learned English thanks to these games.

5. Elite. 'nuff said.

6. Dune II, although by any standards today it's highly unplayable and the AI is about as intelligent as a rubber boot, it was just so much fun! I guess I played it though several times on each of the houses.

7. Betrayal at Krondor, and the best part of the game was the Spider and the Spyglass -chapter.

8. Commander Keen, nostalgia at its best.

9. Duke 3D. Well, who wouldn't love Duke?

10. Shadow warrior, using the Duke 3D engine. Wacky ninja humor, deadly katana and homage to John Woo, that about sums it up.

There are tons of games that deserve to be on that list, and apart from positions 1-3 I would give different names on a different day. X-Wing is amazing, X-COM is brilliant, Heroes of Might and Magic too. There are just far too many great games on PC, no denying that. My greatest shame as a PC gamer, and a gamer in general, is that I've never played any Fallout. Hopefully one day I can redeem myself.
