The Aussies have been dishing it out for years. Now that we regularly kick their ass in cricket, won the rugby world cup against them in their own country and have beaten them at the last two olympics..... its gone strangely quiet. They serve it but they cant take it. I have a few aussie mates who are oh so quiet at the moment. Its just banter.

i know its banter and i know i will come across as a prick but still i don't know of any epic australia v great britain battles in sport unless i'm forgetting something,
personally i'd like to be just england in sport in everything we do including athletics and other olympic sports like in the commonwealth games where the aussies win incidentally and sir chris hoy will be racing for scotland in glasgow in 2014,if i was french or itlaian i'd be wondering why we can have different teams for different events,there are no great britain teams in a rugby world cup or six nations or in a world cup or euros etc but GB in athletics olympics and world championships plus every minor sport going,doesn't make sense to me and i don't like it,just my politics but i'd rather we went alone or we have a britsh premier league for football/rugby etc and one national team with one govt in westminster or just split for good 
on a lighter note the dutch like their hockey don't they,must have a good setup like they do for footy,always good,
