I agree MS is kicking butt with the software sales and the high sales of COD4 and AC (both PS3 and 360 versions) are an awesome indicator for both consoles as well.
It means if you put the effort forth, and make a well polished game nowadays, people WILL buy it.
as for GTA4, i just have a feeling it wont do as well as i first imagined, maybe its just that nagging feeling and i should ignore it, But for some reason i think it wont set the records people think it will (on either console).
But i do hope i'm wrong.
As for 360 hardware sales, even though the 2nd year wasnt as amazing as the first year (in terms of overall sales) i still think they're in a great position as they continue to move lots of software.
in the US market the PS3 will have a hard time catching up and MS needs to exploit that as much as they can so sony doesnt make any in roads in their home turf.
Europe is a bit of a toss up as the PS3 is gaining ground there, and since i'm not european i really cant speak on their tastes in games and what not, but mS does need to kick it up a notch so sony doesnt catch or surpass them there
as for japan, maybe 3rd times the charm?
