I thought about this as soon as I heard that some of the victims didn't have health insurance. I'm sure that many who did have health insurance face a huge deductible before insurance jumps in. Also, the insurance company will decide what is necessary and what is not as far as treatment is concerned. If they feel like something doesn't have to be done, they'll refuse to pay for it.
It sucks.
Anyway, I've been under a rock for a while now. I had no idea about the funds being set up to help the victims. I'll give a little bit.
