Just like a rock weathers in the wind, snow, and water. |
still the most used worldwide though.

Wrong. Way wrong. As of the last reported record of Hotmail, they had 369 million active accounts, and were in decline. Gmail currently has 425 million active, and are still experiencing growth.

Usually when you provide a counter argument you post a link supporting your claim...
Like this - http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/edwardbaig/story/2012-07-31/outlook-email/56616322/1
"Research firm comScore says Hotmail has 41 million monthly unique visitors; AOL, 24 million. That makes them the No. 3 and No. 4 e-mail providers in the U.S., behind Yahoo Mail, with 84 million unique visitors, and Gmail, 68 million. Worldwide, more than 324 million people still use Hotmail monthly, making it the top provider globally"

Okay, so your source just backed my claim up even more.

Thanks for that.

Those 425m actually is quite false just like Google Plus users, who the hell uses G+ it is a mess i dont understand how it works even today.
http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/20/new-google-accounts-require-gmail-and-g-accounts/
So even on Youtube now you are forced to have a Gmail account, at least i was forced to create one wich i dont use but i have to use it on Youtube so im active Gmail user while i dont even use it.
I´ve no doubt Gmail is big and its really good but those 425m are false, there mght be 2 bilion people with Gmail but sure they aint all using it.

Exact same goes for Hotmail. Microsoft pushes Hotmail for a variety of their products too.
But even so, it says blatantly as plain as day "active users". Youtube accounts don't keep Gmail active. In order to have an active Gmail account, you actually have to be using it. That's the really cool thing that makes it active.
