I was on Facebook and saw that some dude posted a picture of the World Trade Centers with the following:

THE IDIOT:---- hey Look its the several dozen stories of the building falling to the left that somehow still turned to dust and collapsed the other hundreds of stories below it..........gotta love magic falling buildings.

(Yup one of these idiots)

ME:---- If you knew anything about the laws of gravity you would feel like an idiot right about now Matt.

 ‎.....Laws of gravity state that a falling object will follow the path of least resistance. The bottom levels of those buildings were undamaged, and the building was designed by 2 Architects to withstand a plane crashing into them. So the laws of gravity say that no an intact upper section would NOT in this universe fall THROUGH the undamaged bottom section turning the entire building constructed of thick reinforced steel into nothing but dust. And a building that DID collapse from a plane crash would not show easily testable levels of Thermite in every sample taken from the wreckage. Not to mention the undamaged upper section would not desintegrate so violently it exploded concrete dust up and outward as it fell downward. Your statement lacks any basic understanding of the world around you. Feel free to go place your head back in a hole

1.) There is no such law that states gravity will pull a falling object towards the path of least resistance, the only thing that EVER follows the path of least resistance is a pure sub-atomic energy source, like Electricity for instance. Gravity's effect on sub-atomic particles is almost completely negligible unless the source of the gravity is either Super-Massive and/or Super-Dense. Like a Star or a Black Hole.

If I drop a ball from 10 feet towards the center of a platform that is a foot tall and a foot wide, the ball isn't going to magically move 6-8 inches to the right to avoid conflict with the platform, in fact it is going to go straight down and smash directly in the center of the platform. I thought that was common sense. Apparently I was wrong. *continuing*

A falling object on EARTH will ***ALWAYS*** fall towards the center of Earths gravity (Its core) once its forward momentum ceases to exist. There is absolutely NO exception to that rule for any object that has a significantly lower gravitational pull than the Earth.

As for the photo above, the main support beams on the top left side of the tower gave way over time, for two reasons.

A.) The massive amount of energy released from both the explosion and force of the planes impact on the tower caused most of the fireproofing material that coated the support beams to be completely blown away.

B.) Because the fireproofing material was blown away by the initial impact, the super-hot fire caused by the jet fuel was able to heat up and weaken the support beams on the left side to the point that they could no longer hold up the massive weight of the upper floors - which triggered the collapse. *continuing*

Now that you know that, it should be obvious that the top potion of the tower collapsed to the left because it was the left support beams that gave way. HOWEVER, the right support beams which were further away from the impact zone, were still holding on and only snapped because of the extra weight forced on them once the Left support beams gave way. The combined forces of gravity, and the resistance provided by the Right support beams before they snapped, COMPLETELY halted the leftward collapsing motion of the top of the tower.

Now, unless your a completely ignorant idiot - you now know how stupid the whole, "ITS A CONSPIRACY BECAUSE THE TOWER SHOULDA FALLEN AT AN ANGLE-ZORZ" theory actually is.

I just completely blew the shit out of that thought, so lets move on to those so called floor by floor explosions you were talking about...

So you, and the world of conspiracy theorists LOVE LOVE LOVE to say 9/11 was an inside job for the simple fact that you can see "Explosions" below the collapsing sections of the Trade Center Towers.  I mean, that's gotta mean the Government did it right?!

WRONG AGAIN, just another example of ignorance at its best.

You see, inside every building ever...There is this little thing called air, and a whoooole lot of it. That includes the World Trade Center believe it or not.

Simply put, those "Explosions" were nothing but compressed air, dust and smoke with nowhere else to go but out.

But I'll go into small detail as to why that actually happened.

You see, each of the towers were naturally packed with Air.

As the tower collapsed, the air on each floor gots instantly compressed, creating an INSANE amount of air-pressure. You should already know that air is not a sub-atomic force of nature that can pass through solid matter at will. Therefore the air has to go somewhere after its available supply of space is replaced by the debris of the collapsing tower.

Physics states that fluid and air will always float above denser matter, that's something we learned in third grade.  Because of this particular law of nature, the compressed air did not simply follow the collapsing building to the ground, it instead created insane pressure variants on the tower's windows and walls as it collapsed.  Eventually the pressure would exceeded the tolerance of the windows and walls and exploded outward, releasing the built up pressure.

Those explosions of air are what conspiracy theorists are calling, "Deliberate explosions meant to bring the buildings down". In other words, they have NO IDEA what is actually going on, and look completely stupid.

This is the exact same concept as squeezing all of the air in a balloon to one spot, and it inevitably popping. Twist an empty water bottle enough and its top will blow.  Sulfuric Gas builds up from lava pools below earths surface, creates massive pressure over long periods of time, and volcanoes are born.

As for the Thermite, literally all that Thermite is, is a mixture of powdered Iron and Aluminum.  There is literally nothing more to it than that.  Finding Thermite at the scene of a big metal tower collapse is extremely common, and is always expected.  So there's that.

And I'm not even going to touch on the whole"Completely turned to dust" thing, because if you cant figure out that there is solid metal hidden inside that cloud of dust... Well theres institutions for that.

Moral of this story is that E = MC^2 and you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, most of the internet is full of completely useless and wrong facts created by people who seem to lack the most basic level of common sense.
