Every time I see these machines (and similar ones) I look back at the awesomeness known as my childhood. I once saw one of these packed with candy and thought "Yes, there's a mentos in there!" so I payed and got the exact one I was pointing at (something which would seem impossible given how small each candy was). And then just a few days better I got to the same place and used one of their slot machines, winning over $200 :D (to me, that was a LOT).
Who said money can't be bought? :P
