PS3 install base in Australia

What might come back to bite them is that some people who got the free ps3 are selling them to make some of the money back. Therefore less people are buying new ps3's because they are buying second hand ones.

I'm pretty sure its part of their blu-ray program, in most other countries they are pairing their Bravia series with a Blu-ray stand alone, but like I said, due to the low installbase of the PS3 in that area they may have chosen to switch it to a PS3, which I think should be done all over the globe, because its a double win, a PS3, and Blu-ray.

So does anyone know if VGChartz will be updated PS3 figures to account for those 28k?

Hard to say. On the one hand, tracking sites won't adjust for this, on the other hand, those systems are out there.

If I were him i'd email and confirm the numbers with Sony, and email and comfirm if the similar deals vs 360 are done the same way and see if they are tracked or not... and if i could get fairly close numbers for all of the promotions like this to add them, and if not keep them aside in another category until i could get them all.
