I'm planning to trade my PS Vita for a 3DS XL. Cunning decision or stupid?

It has exclusives (including new Ips) in addition the ports you speak of. I'm sure you are capable enough to look them up yourself, if not stop by the official thread and the others will fill you in. As for the ports and multiplat releases, some titles are either a better experience on the handheld or offer a different experience than the console version. Even now the system is filled with new IPs and exclusives and more are on its way. 

Not sure why you are trying to convince me his choice is good here to be honest. I never suggested anything to him otherwise. The only difference between this and the trade in the 3ds for vita thread is that no one is attacking him. It's all about preferences in gaming. I do not have a need for a 3ds at least until it has several layton games released for it because I do not care much for most of the line up. That's just my personal preference. He has his own. If he doesn't care for vita titles then by all means...he should do what he wants to do. It's his money and assets afterall.

Oh and this has nothing to do with the topic at hand but gamescom is just 3 weeks or so away iirc. Should be good

I even searched up games that are coming to retailers (at least in the US so far) and I looked at "Upcoming Releases." There weren't that many that are exclusive to Vita. I saw some, but not many. 

I think you are over exaggerating my point really. You are acting as If I'm trying to bash the Vita or something when all I am doing really is stating the truth, or how I see things are being layed out so far.

And I never said his choice is good. Didn't you seem me write things like "You should sell your 3DS" or "Selling the 3DS would be a better idea"?

 

OT: I say don't sell your Vita. But, if you seriously can't transfer your data then I don't know what else to tell you other than to sell the Vita for the 3DS XL.

Then you need to look again. Unless you mean around 20 or something exclusives, which would be kinda stupid with all the events coming up and given the fact the system is new in the market.

Not exaggarating, pointing out fud. I see a lot of ninty fans doing this but I ignore them. Cuz I know you I thought I would try and correct the statement but I see that was a mistake on my part. You will see what you want to see I guess. 

Are you high? When did I say or even hint that you said his choice was good or not. My comment to you has nothing to do with it as I explained already. My answer to him is clear.
