Whose to say? If gun owners are so law-abiding, than the ownership would be registered, making it easy for local law enforcement to gather up the guns in the first phase of acquisition. As i suggested earlier, a "no-questions-asked" grace period would lie on top of that, where owners of unregistered firearms can freely surrender them at no penalty. After that, huge, huge fines for both weapons and per unit of ammunition, which could cover the costs of enforcement.


So the people with unregistered guns would still have guns? Wow, nice plan! You sound like a great politician!
