Ideas are cheap. Anyone who's into this can come up with a cool looking timeline in say half an hour.

The valuable part will be the quality of your writing; how well does it hold a reader's attention? The actual mechanics of the story itself is far, far down on the list of why fiction becomes bestselling.

You would be better off posting a chapter excerpt here (or more likely, to professionals) and have them give feedback on your writing skill.

It's the same as posting "I have a cool idea for a game, it's a Sonic/Pokemon crossover etc etc" vs actually having a game demo.

This.

Worlds like George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire work not because of nice timelines, but brilliant writing. Timelines is simply something to reference inside the story through dialogue, not on the outside like what Pullus has stated.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
