Yeah, but who cares? Any console can pack a game in with EU/US and after 3 years claim it to be the best selling game. The main thing is, 3rd parties don't care about that, the media don't care about that, no one outside the hardcore for the console in question cares about that. If Wii Sports was selling this well outside of being bundled than the media would be all over it but as it is, no one cares.

When this gen is over people are going to talk about Mario Galaxy, Brawl, GTAIV etc... sales, no one will give a damn about Wii Sports because it was packed in whether it's highest selling or not.

Given that it sells nearly 3mil in Japan, one region alone where it's not bundle, I do see a reason for others to care...

You may see reason but it's too bad that they don't. The fact that it is bundled with every single console outside Japan negates the worth or value of the sales whether Nintendo fans want to accept it or not.

Bundled games sales are worthless. NPD, GFK, Charttrack and all major tracking companies don't even bother with them. They don't list them, they don't mention them and the reason that is because they are worthless. The EU/US consumer didn't get a choice to get Wii Sports, Nintendo made the choice for them and that's why Wii Sports is negated. It's much the same way Sony is raming Blu-ray down every PS3 owners throat whether they care about Bluray or not.

If Europe and US had a choice about whether they wanted Wii Sports the sales would matter but that is not the case, therefore outside Japan they don't matter.
