Family Bought NES (I was too young to remember why)
SNES was a reward for not spending money on a 6 month trip
N64 was a reward for my Brother graduating Junior High
Wii was a reward for graduating University.
I borrowed a ps2 for 6 years, and am co-owner of another (But physically have it)
The only "console" I bought for myself was DS Phat. Still have and love it.
