The reasons you listed above are why I'm not only buying my favourite games just after release. Halo, Assassin's Creed and any other series I find myself throughly addicted to I cannot help but buy immediately but others that catch my eye (Darksiders II, Metal Gera Rising, Ghost Recon Future Soldier etc) will have to wait until they drop in price. Can't justify spending £40-£45 on every single game, especially when I end up having issues with the game post-purchase (Max Payne 3).
