At last, all bonds are purple. The fastest way to raise affinity for free is fighting a unique monster that causes a negative status effect upon getting hit. By staying out of range to prevent your character from auto-attacking you can run back and forth between your party members and help them with a button press. Each action will be rewarded with two hearts. Of course, it's better to be overleveled when attempting this, that way you survive easily and can keep earning affinity.

In the south of Eryth Sea there is a beach full of those lizard enemies. After clearing the Mechonis Core there should be an about level 80 UM that puts you to sleep everytime you hit it.

Sweet. That's just about perfect for me.
