My comment is what it is. I'd buy a slimmer PS3 "now" if it's backwards compatible; if it isn't, I'll probably get it later. I only cared about backwards compatible is so I can get rid of my slim PS2. I neither cared about any consoles' sales nor does my comment show any grudge. Don't get my words twisted.
