You know, I was thinking about that.  They must make so much money from World of Warcraft subscriptions every year, alongside the huge Diablo 3 launch.  But does all that money go straight to Vivendi?  Idk how it works.

Bungie bought themselves out of Microsoft.  Could the same not happen here?

I totally agree, also because even without any other advantage, the two companies sold separately would have a lower price, and it could be far easier to find buyers.
One last doubt: why didn't they ask Google, Oracle, IBM or some Korean or Japanese giant? Or some Chinese? Having a huge Chinese interest in the whole gaming SW market, not just PC HW and SW and only console HW building like it is now, could help opening China to consoles, heck, competing gaming companies should even pay something to Vivendi to help this to happen, they'd gather great benefits too. But in this cases Americans should prepare themselves to see next CoD titles with the option to have the Chinese as the goods and the Americans as the baddies.
