What's wrong with the ending? It may come 'out of nowhere', but having played through it again, it all makes sense. The hints were there, the game was setting it out for you. You just forget about it, see it as not important. For example, you know right at the start, when Shulk first takes the Monado off Reyn in the weapon lab? Well, there's a vision there which shows Egil dying, Shulk getting shot, the Emperor dying and the party killing Dickson. In addition, Fiora claims that Shulk 'would love her more as a robot'. And on Prison Island, Alvis calls Zanza Klaus. And there's plenty of other little bits that you deem unimportant, but are actually VERY important. So it's clever IMO. |
I liked the idea of Zanza being a God of the universe that was there before time. Wanted Alvis to be a real living creature. It was like he was pulling for Shulk to win the entire time.
Did Zanza know Alivs was able to recreate/destroy the universe. If so he should have made him erase Shulk and friends
What I do not understand is what the Manado really is. Is a computer genereated essence that gives you God-like power? And did Shulk get one on his own or did Alvis give it to him. If so why?
