I wonder if trophy support could mean they've been working on an Xbox 360 version with achievements. Maybe the announcement will connect people with Kinect ;) or through reaching the other half of the market who doesn't have a PS3.

I doubt they'll spend resources for a 4+ year old port. If they were interested in a 360 port, they would have done it quite a while ago.

They ported the HD collection including MGS PW. MGS 2 and 3 were older than 4 is now. It's really not that common for a game to get ported years after the initial release, it's just usualy PC games that wait for a next gen console. It would kind of make sense to port MGS4 to 360 as a budget release as a way to lead up to MGR Revengence.

Those weren't ports, those were HD upgrades. The HD version of those games were new. It made sense to release them because they were experiences that hadn't been experienced yet (in terms of visuals). Unlike MGS4, if its ported to the Xbox 360, it'll be exactly the same as the four-year-old ps3 title, only with multiple discs this time. I can't see it doing well. The only way I see it being worth porting to the 360 is if the 360 port has some special features or upgraded graphics or something.

And again, if they were going to make a 360 port, they would have done so a long time ago. Since it hasn't been announced yet, its safe to say a potential 360 version wouldn't release until 2013 at the earliest. We're talking about a port of a five-year-old game, the exact same as the ps3. It just doesn't seem likely. They're not just going to sit back after four years and then finally decide its appropriate to release a port. No, they would have done so a long time ago to maximize sales by releasing when MGS4 was still pretty hyped up. Doing a few years ago would have garnered a ton more profit than doing now.

Of course its possible, anything is possible. But this is most likely not happening.
