Nah.  The difference is, there are actual negatives to being too intellectual.  When your too intellectual you tend to miss the big picture and breeds arrogance which often leads to a failure to consider other ideas that may be better.

While there aren't There aren't really any negatives towards being too handsome.

 

Or if you want to look at it from the "President as your friend or husband" angle.   A decent number of people have a problem dating someone way smarter then them.   Nobody really has a problem dating someone way more goodlooking then them.
