woah are they serious? they "only" had 10k of these 99 dollar packages and when they reached it they just increased it to 20k? no clue how you call that in english, maybe "fake shortage" to increase the interest and to sell more at the beginning because people think if they wait to long they won't get it anymore. and as more they sell at beginning then as more attention it will get because of high numbers and with that they will sell even more^^

Um. More than likely that was an estimated Production Run. They have probably done nothing more than make a dozen or a few dozen prototypes.

It's too bad I don't have the cash lying around, I could have gotten in when there were some dev kits left. Looks like I will have to buy at full price.

what does the number of prototypes have to do with "we say we only have 10k and when we reach that number we simply increase it to 20k and in few hours maybe to 30k or so instead of saying 30k from beginning"?

i donÄt say they can produce millions, but they could change the number from 10k to 20k in a minute after they sold the 10k. why exactly couldnÄt they say 20k then from start if they seem to know they can produce 20k?

Is there somewhere they said "We had 10k, oh but now we have 20k, and hey uh, we might have 30k too?" Where?

If you are _infering_ that from them just increasing the 10k to 20k for the $99 pledge, then i'm saying you are making the wrong assumption. They don't necessarily _have_ 10k or 20k or any number lying around at all right this second. They at first made the commitment, from their original $950,000 goal to only make 10k for the $99 pledge. Now that it looks like they have _already_ burned through that pledge 2x. They can safely increase that commitment to a higher ammount. I daresay based on all the buzz, they may uncap the $99 pledge entirely.
