Where of course, "quality" is defined by what YOU like, right?
If you look closely at the pattern of what sells in terms of so-called "casual" products, you'll find that a few sell exceptionally well, and everything else fails pretty much completely. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe certain products have "quality", but that most people define "quality" in video gaming differently from how the typical enthusiast gamer does?
Anyway, you don't seem to have justified either part of your argument. Why does Sony need to launch theirs first? Why does MS need to cut the 360 off now, if they're "making millions selling empty casual products" and selling Halo and Gears well?
