But if it's a beefed up C3ll, then all the major 3rd parties will have come to terms with the C3ll by now so a C3ll based PS4 would not face the same level of 3rd party reluctance as PS3.
That said, I think most 3rd parties would be a bit peeved with Sony if they went for a beefed up C3ll architecture so it seems C3ll has had its day and Sony will move to off the shelf HW. Bit of a poo for the 1st party studios who concentrated all their efforts on C3ll optimisation, which theoretically should have made moving to a beefed up C3ll pretty straight forward. Having to re-jig their middleware for PC-type architecture will take a bit more work I suppose.
