oh and most importantly, if you guys ever come here, you need to visit the tepuys (the oldests lands in the whole world, from the precambrian) they are just breathtaking and EPIC.

Those pics were amazing.  Shows you that erosion can make some pretty beautiful landscapes.  Do you guys have a lot of national parks there?  I hope at least the tepuy are a protected area.  Looks like it considering there isn't much but nature in those pics.

"The word tepui means "house of the gods" in the native tongue of the Pemon, the indigenous people who inhabit the Gran Sabana."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tepui

All this talk about nature reminds me that I need to post some good nature shots that are in the USA.  We have a decent amount of varied environments considering our size.  However, those lucky people in New Zealand seem to have the most varied for the size.

yes!!, thats exactly what tepuy means :D . oh of course, thats a protected area, its a national park  "Canaima" wich was declared a world heritage site. its actually one of the biggests national parks in the whole world.

yes we have a lot of natinal parks here in Venezuela, but you know, there is not to much education about the enviroment here, and well most people dont really care about ecology, protecting nature and climatic change due to man actions, is not on their most important topics :S and they do whathever they want. there arent to many laws regarding about this subject either. but thats starting to change, like in a lot of other countries too i think.

by the way yellowstone and the grand canyon look damn epic!. :D
