DVD argument is quite stupid, BUT what you might not know tho is MS do charge a higher royalty to publishers if they use more than 2 disks on a game, so publishers do very much think hard about going above 2.
Which does make sense cos if MS are having to press 3 disks for your game, they could be printing 3 copies of someone else's game in that time.
But DVD is not the cause for a new generation, the cause is 1 of them has made there move, so the others must follow soon after or risk losing market share.
