Sony can put 5 teraflops, 80 frames per second and 4320p output but the damage would have already been done. I don't want crappy tech in a PS4, I'm not really bothered about getting a PS4 at all (I'm more than happy with my PS3), but I don't want to see Sony get trounced AGAIN by the competition by releasing late, powerful & expensive into the market. Because as we saw from this generation, multi-platform games aren't designed around releasing on the most powerful machine, and Sony no longer have anywhere near the market share to command them as exclusives. But anyway, all of this is moot. We don't know when PS4 is releasing - could be 2013, could be 2014. We don't know what platform Uncharted 4 will be on. We don't know if Infamous 3 will even be made. And no matter how much we discuss it, it isn't up to us! |
I actually think both Sony and MS are aiming for late 2013 (with the possibility of delays to early 2014) for ps4/720. I also think God of War: Ascension, the Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, and maybe the Last Guardian and Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the last big games on ps3 (with Versus XIII probably hitting at or after the ps4's launch, like Final Fantasy XII and ps3).
I have little doubt that Uncharted 4, Gran Turismo 6, Killzone 4, GG's second team's new IP, and so on are being lined up for ps4. I could see an Infamous 3 hitting ps3 sometime in 2013, but ONLY if it turns out Sucker Punch has expanded to two teams. If not, then their single team should be working on a new IP for ps4's launch window.
