I agree. Plus, Sovereign had one of the coolest line of dialogue in the trilogy: "You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it."

Such an awesome line. Shoot, that whole conversation was great.

In terms of the "cosmic horror" angle, that's still the watershed moment of the franchise for me.
