Unfortunately doesn't even show the whole of Europe, but it's interesting watching the boundaries change over a couple of thousand years.

Funny how England is referred to as England-Scotland-Netherlands just because the monarch at the time was parttime king of Scotland and acting sovereign of the Netherlands.

William III was asked to invade England to dispose of their Roman-Catholic leader at the time. After his sister-in-law being put on the throne their bloodline ended and Great Britain had to buy another sovereign in the marketplace.
