Actually when we are awaken we do really only use about one third of our brains at any given time. That's not to say parts of it are untapped because different parts are active are different times. Still you use like nine tenths on REM sleep. Creating a virtual reality requires some steam, after all.
Anyways since I was a kid I was labeled as a "brain" because I understood stuff and interacted in ways much older kids couldn't even start to comprehend. I've been diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder when I was seventeen - which is a sign of gifted intelligence according to recent studies, because apparently social synapses go work on something else - and consistently scored in the 140-150s on IQ tests.
So yeah, as a gifted person I'd say I'm smarter than an average VGC member. However intelligence alone does not make one better, nor a better person, and neither does it give the truth. So, on the other hand, I'm sure lots of VGC members far surpass me on certain areas of knowledge.
