In my opinion, both have to release their consoles next year.

The Wii U is coming and it has two strong system sellers on its launch window (New Super Mario and Wii Fit) also we don't know what games Nintendo is planning for 2013 (maybe a new Wii Sports and a new Mario Kart).

If Sony and MS let the Wii U have more then a year "alone" in the market their new consoles will start a race again a Wii U with more than 15 million units ahead.
